Franklinton, Louisiana

The Washington Parish School Board met in regular session on the above date with the following members present: Dan Slocum, Bruce Brown, John Breland, Alan McCain, Matthew Tate, Dewitt Perry, and Lesley McKinley.  Absent:  John Wyble and Robert Boone.

Agenda Item #1 - Call to order

The meeting was called to order by President Matthew Tate.

Agenda Item #2 – Invocation

The invocation was given by Bruce Brown.

Agenda Item #3 – Pledge of Allegiance

Agenda Item #4 – Discuss and take appropriate action regarding bids received on roof replacement at Pine School (Shane Smith).

It was moved by Alan McCain, seconded by John Breland, that the Board approve the low quote from Reflec Tech in the amount of $215,000.00 for the roof replacement at Pine School.  Motion carried unanimously.  Other bids submitted:  Roofing Solutions - $420,300.00.

Agenda Item #5 – Discuss and take appropriate action regarding bids received on roof replacement at Franklinton Elementary School (Shane Smith).

It was moved by John Breland, seconded by Dewitt Perry, that the Board approve the low quote from Reflec Tech in the amount of $220,000.00 for the roof replacement at Franklinton Elementary School.  Motion carried unanimously.  Other bids submitted:  Darwin Sharp Construction - $295,349.00 and Roofing Solutions - $396,900.00.

Agenda Item #6 – Consider a motion to adjourn.

It was moved by John Breland, seconded by Alan McCain that the Board adjourn.  Motion carried unanimously.
