The Washington Parish School Board met in regular session on the above date with the following members present: Dan Slocum, John Wyble, Bruce Brown, Robert Boone, John Breland, Alan McCain, Matthew Tate, Lesley McKinley and Dewitt Perry. Absent: None.
Agenda Item #1 - Call to order
The meeting was called to order by President Matthew Tate.
Agenda Item #2 – Invocation
The invocation was given by Bruce Brown.
Agenda Item #3 – Pledge of Allegiance
Agenda Item #4 – Discuss and take appropriate action regarding a one-time stipend for all employees (Darrell Fairburn).
It was moved by Dewitt Perry, seconded by Alan McCain, that the Board take no action at this time to allow time for a study of Capital Outlay at all schools and the cost associated. For: John Wyble, Dewitt Perry, and Alan McCain. Against: Dan Slocum, Bruce Brown, John Breland, Robert Boone, Matthew Tate and Lesley McKinley. Motion failed.
It was moved by John Wyble, seconded by Bruce Brown, that the Board amend the motion to approve a one-time stipend of $400.00 for all employees.
It was moved by John Wyble, seconded by Bruce Brown, to withdraw the amended motion.
It was moved by John Wyble, seconded by Bruce Brown, that the Board amend the motion to approve a one-time stipend of $350.00 for all employees. For: Dan Slocum, John Wyble, Bruce Brown, John Breland, Robert Boone, Matthew Tate and Lesley McKinley. Against: Dewitt Perry and Alan McCain. Motion carried.
It was moved by John Wyble, seconded by Bruce Brown, that the Board rescind the amended motion to approve a one-time stipend of $350.00. Motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by John Wyble, seconded by Alan McCain, to table the motion regarding a one-time stipend for all employees until the next meeting. For: Dan Slocum, John Wyble, John Breland, Robert Boone, Dewitt Perry, Alan McCain, Matthew Tate, and Lesley McKinley. Against: Bruce Brown. Motion carried.
Agenda Item #24 - Consider a motion to adjourn.
It was moved by Alan McCain, seconded by Robert Boone, that the Board adjourn. Motion carried unanimously.
