The Washington Parish School Board met in special session on the above date with the following members present: President Richard Thomas, Dan Slocum, Karl Bickham, Bruce Brown, Susanne Jones, Matthew Tate, and Freddie Jefferson. Absent: Holly James and Hayward Boone.
Agenda Item #1 - Call to order.
The meeting was called to order by President Thomas. He welcomed guests.
Agenda Item #2 - Invocation.
The invocation was given by Bruce Brown.
Agenda Item #3 - Adopt a resolution providing for canvassing the returns and declaring the result of the special election held in Consolidated School District No. 4 of the Parish of Washington, State of Louisiana, on Saturday, May 3, 2003, to authorize the incurring of debt and issuance of bonds therein (Richard Thomas).
The following resolution was offered by Freddie Jefferson and seconded by Matthew Tate: SEE ATTACHED. This resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
YEAS: Dan Slocum, Karl Bickham, Jr., Bruce L. Brown, Sr., Richard Ned Thomas, Jr., Susanne Jones, Matthew Tate and Freddie H. Jefferson.
NAYS: NONE
ABSENT: Holly Myles James and Hayward Boone
The resolution was declared adopted on this, the 6th day of May, 2003.
Agenda Item #4 - Consider a motion to adjourn.
It was moved by Freddie Jefferson, seconded by Karl Bickham, that the Board adjourn. Motion carried unanimously.
